Wikipedia link for U+20A4 Lira Sign mistakenly points to article on pound sign

There's not much more to add to the title; the wikipedia link for U+20A4 (Lira Sign) points to a wikipedia article on the U+00A3 Pound Sign (it's easily confusable, I confused them myself :-) ). A better link would be https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lira

Hm, I’m not sure how to proceed here. If you hover the link on codepoints.net, you’ll notice that it leads to

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E2%82%A4

or

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/₤

decoded. That is, we only link to a Wikipedia article, if there exists one for the specific character alone.

On Wikipedia’s side, the authors there deemed it useful to add a redirect from the “₤” article to the “Pound_sign” article (and there to the #Double_bar_style part). So, in a nutshell, that problem could also be discussed on the discussion page of the original redirect,

https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:%E2%82%A4&action=edit&redlink=1

I’m a bit hesitant to address it on the codepoints.net end, because with every special case we need to check it in somewhat regular intervals to see, if there were some changes for the original article. (Say someone removed the redirect and wrote a great detailed article about the “₤” glyph? Then we wouldn’t pick that up automatically due to our special case.)

Good points; I had only observed the wikipedia snippet was from the wrong article and had just assumed the wikipedia link was incorrect. Fixing the redirect on the wikipedia side would be the right fix. - Henry
