Preferred conventions for forks?

Hi,

I'm probably going to push a build of my fork (keeping a fork due to #128 (comment))

I don't want people to potentially be bothering you with problems with "FlashGBX v5.0.1" which are actually problems with my fork, not your code.

I was thinking of perhaps doing a PEP440/semver-style "FlashGBX v5.0.1+fredemmott.1", but open to whatever you prefer.
