Updating from MHI2_ER_AUG22_S2148_MU0442 toMHI2_ER_AUG22_K3346_MU1438 not possible

Hi all,
After installing the latest M.I.B. version to my MIB high, (audi a4 B9 2016, MHI2_ER_AUG22_S2148_MU0442), I tried to install the AIO patch, but got the message that the Script does not support this MIB model.

I thought I need to update my software, so I downloaded MHI2_ER_AUG22_K3346_MU1438 (latest and possibly final) version, and tried to update via RED menu, but I'm getting the message that a variant conflict has occurred, train is blocked.

Is it possible to install this latest version directly, or should I install all available FW versions sequentially until I reach the Latest?

My end goal is VIM (already installed via GEM), Android auto, latest maps, and maybe latest gracenote dB.

not yet. I've prepared the SD card with the next incremental update and will try that soon, maybe tomorrow. I'll keep you updated.

Quick update, I tried updating incrementally to the next version that my car had, and it didn't work. I got the same error.
I tried the update from the red menu.
I'll also try the next updates to see if any of those work, I will report back after trying.

Hi, so i found the issue, you need to update to K2161 and then you can install the M.I.B. Just had a Q7 that i did it that way. He had the same software and everything. Installed everything and Carplay works perfectly

I also had the MHI2_ER_AUG22_S2148 on my Q7 from 2015 I updated to K2161 and installed the M.I.B. after, but now still no carplay. Any tips?

So apparently you need to update in a certain order. Some sws can't be installed on certain trains.
You can check in the metainfo of the sw to which train you can install it to. I'm now updated to the latest version, patch_aio applied, android auto activated, USB cable installed and android auto works great.
