stepsize throwing error

Floating point step size is causing error.
For example - The following throws error:
python plotit.py -f x -z 0.2

python range() doesn't support float step size, probably numpy has something like that.
It is possible to create a function to mimic the job using range, but it will have some serious rounding errors.
best is probably handling the exception.
