Talk: a way to automate oppurtunities for outreach #55

Description

@khizarrm

Hello!

I am Khizar, a 4th year cs student at Carleton University. I built try-linkd.com (250+ students using it currently), an agent to help students automate outreach for oppurtunities. It finds professionals in any field and drafts personalized emails to them: a friend of mine is now in contact with a vercel and wealthsimple recruiter!

I spoke to Matt Millard, who suggested I give this talk. The platform would be useful for both students and new grads seeking connections in the tech industry. The talk would be about what the tool does, why I made it, and how the agent works. I'd focus more on the AI agent itself, how I made it, the tools it uses, the challenges I came across. It took me a few months to get it right, so there's a lot of challenges and learnings I could speak about!
