If someone finances its development and maintenance (e.g. hiring at least one full time developer). There are many, who are requesting supporting Linux (which Linux distribution/desktop manager is the open question though), but no one is willing to contribute to its development... There is a community effort now to develop a Linux version, which we're supporting. Currently they're also trying to get external support, with little success until now. Looks like there's still no serious commercial interest in Linux, as sad as this is. |

Hmm, interesting, I'll try to see if anything can incentivise the university I attend. Out of interest, how does safe exam browser work on mac and windows? Does it create a vm / container or is it a custom browser? |

Will there ever be made Linux support? I am frustrated that I always need a seperate Windows image just for exams.
Something like an app image could make it work on multiple distros.
I could not find any other place to ask, like an e-mail.
