Smartthings Lua Libraries

This is a beginner question...

Samples in this repo reference "st" modules/packages, eg:

local Driver = require('st.driver')
local caps = require('st.capabilities')
local utils = require('st.utils')

... how/from where can one obtain these modules/packages/libraries ?

Also, "Devices utilizing a RESTful HTTP API are the most common LAN devices on the SmartThings Platform today" (ref)... RESTful HTTP API is good fit for driver running on Hub to call device on LAN; however, by what mean in Smartthings Platform, can device on LAN notify Hub about change? What specific API in the Smarrthings SDK should be used?

The CLI smarthings edge:drivers:package assumes the same folder structure as the github SmartThingsEdgeDrivers.

This is my .zshrc on the mac

.zshrc

1. Put Homebrew executables first in the PATH

export PATH="/usr/local/bin:/usr/local/sbin:$PATH"

2. Define your SmartThings Lua library root directory

export SMARTTHINGS_LUA_ROOT="/Users/xxxxx/Smartthings/SmartThingsEdgeDrivers/lua_libs-api_v12_55X/lua_libs-api_v12"

4. Append the LuaRocks paths so that they come after the SmartThings paths

This ensures that if a module exists in your SmartThings directories, it’s found first.

3. Prepend SmartThings paths for Lua modules and C modules

export LUA_PATH="${SMARTTHINGS_LUA_ROOT}/?.lua;${SMARTTHINGS_LUA_ROOT}/?/init.lua;${LUA_PATH}"
export LUA_CPATH="${SMARTTHINGS_LUA_ROOT}/?.so;${LUA_CPATH}"
