Number of satellites in constellation

Hi Developers,

The number of satellites downloaded from
url1 = "https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/gp.php?GROUP=" + constellation_name + "&FORMAT=2le"
url2 = "https://celestrak.org/NORAD/elements/gp.php?GROUP=" + constellation_name + "&FORMAT=json"
are "7859 satellites".

During constellation configuration:
shells = SATELLITE_TO_SHELL_MAPPING.satellite_to_shell_mapping(constellation_name)
Only Starlink constellation: 4401 saved in the h5. Do you know what is the issue?

Two following cause of the issue may be
1- I used the following input based on the tutorial:

We've identified some TLE data wasn't modeled in StarPerf because the lunches.xml is not updated. To fix this, we’ve added a new file /config/TLE_constellation/Starlink/launches_7_30_2025.xml. If you update the path in /src/constellation_generation/by_TLE/satellite_to_shell_mapping.py at line 54 to point to this new XML, you'll be able to simulate all 7,995 Starlink satellites launched up to July 30, 2025.

But you'll still need to provide satellite-to-orbit mapping data. It’s a bit of a grind and definitely a test of your eyeballs. I roughly estimated a quick-and-dirty mapping set:

[15, 1, 21, 5, 9, 22, 72, 45, 36, 72, 2, 72]

It's not accurate, but it should let you run a basic test.

Lastly, if you want to keep your TLE data fresh going forward, you can manually update the launches.xml by pulling launch info from Wikipedia's of Starlink and Starshield launches page.
