Are you talking about animated WebP files? Those don't work at the moment. If you are talking about regular GIFs they should work (and do for me).

I tried the current master branch, and the animated WebP works well on both android and iOS, at least when playing my animated webp files.
So could you publish the current version to npm?
That would be very helpful!
