How to develop locally

Could you write up a starter guide if we wanted to contribute to the library?

at the moment getting this error on mac os:

Thanks for the report - that's definitely unexpected. There shouldn't be anything you need to do in order to develop locally. The local dev environment includes all the optional dependencies (and there are quite a few) but none of them should be causing that issue. I use the same Elixir and OTP versions as you are using in the example above on an M1-based Mac.

Can you mix new a project and add only {:exla, "~> 0.9"} as a dependency and see if it will compile? I've never had an issue on MacOS installing and compling it but clearly there is something going on.

Ah, and I had forgotten there is a test dependency on minio. I will work on development documentation but it might take a week or so.
