@jsefiani I was seeing the same issue and resolved it with:

const columns: Array<Column<Brand>> = [...]

> npm list --depth=0 | grep react-table
├── @types/react-table@7.0.25
├── react-table@7.6.2
├── react-table-6@6.11.0
