Regression
The Logitech G923 PlayStation variant currently loses force feedback. Steering, pedals, and buttons remain functional; the G923 Xbox variant and G25/G27/G29 are supported.
Background
The old MiSTer kernel used a vendored out-of-tree new-lg4ff-derived rewrite. It was deliberately not carried to Linux 6.18 because it is not a small forward-portable delta.
Proposed work
Identify a maintained/upstreamable implementation path for G923 PlayStation force feedback, then package or forward-port it with provenance and hardware testing. Avoid restoring an unmaintained vendored driver without a maintenance plan.
Acceptance criteria
A G923 PlayStation wheel has working force feedback on a real DE10-Nano, alongside verification that existing Logitech wheel support does not regress.
