Are there plans for a first-party API that utilizes React hooks?

Hi Nicholas, thanks for the question. Currently, there are no plans to provide a first-party API that utilizes React hooks. Can you give an example of what you are thinking of?

One reason we have not provided any React hook APIs is because we don't want to accidentally encourage the practice of calling Optimizely APIs in non-ideal places like render functions which may be called many more times than desired. This is especially important for APIs that send impression events for experiment results. We are thinking about separating the decision logic from the tracking logic, which would make this less of a problem; however, we have not made this change to our SDKs.
