+Good night, moon,
+hanging low and bright,
+a lantern left burning
+at the edge of the night.
+
+Good night, stars,
+scattered like scattered seeds,
+silver and patient
+above the whispering reeds.

+Good night, wide sky,
+your darkness soft as wool,
+wrapped around the rooftops,
+quiet, deep, and full.
+
+Good night, small bird
+tucked beneath your wing,
+good night to every living thing
+that's done with wandering.
+
+Good night, old river,
+curling to the sea,
+good night to every mystery
+that watches over me.
+
+The moon pulls the tides
+and lulls the world to rest—
+let your eyelids grow heavy,
+let your heartbeat slow its quest.

+For the night is a harbor,
+and sleep is the shore,
+and the stars keep their vigil
+till the sun finds the door.
