📝 Feature Request: Add "Unpublish" option for published apps
Title: Add ability to unpublish a published app without deleting it
Description:
Currently, once an app is published, there is no way to unpublish (revoke public access) without deleting the entire app. The only available options in the app menu (⋯) are: Rename, Duplicate, Share, and Delete. The "Share" dialog also only displays the public link without any toggle to disable it.
Current behavior:
After publishing an app, the publish panel shows the published version status, access link, and a "Publish" button to update to a new version
There is no "Unpublish" toggle or button anywhere in the UI
The menu (⋯) does not include an "Unpublish" option
The "Share" dialog only shows the public link with no option to disable it
The only way to stop public access is to delete the entire app, which means losing all configuration and needing to rebuild from scratch
Expected behavior:
Add an "Unpublish" button or toggle in the publish panel to revoke public access while keeping the app intact
When unpublished, the public link should become inactive (return 404 or a "not available" page)
The app should remain editable and ready to be re-published at any time without reconfiguration
Use case:
Temporarily taking down an app for maintenance or updates
Revoking public access without losing the app's design and configuration
Controlling when an app goes live or offline
Environment:
Platform: Teable Cloud (app.teable.ai)
Date: March 2026
