GUI staging broken — “Stage All Changes” and per-file “+” do nothing

Staging is non-functional in the Source Control GUI.

•	A new file appears correctly under Changes with the untracked marker.
•	Tapping Stage All Changes does nothing — no error, no change, the file stays put.
•	Tapping the + next to the file does nothing either.
•	Because nothing stages, the commit button never appears, so I can’t commit through the GUI.

Identity and Authentication are both set, so neither is the blocker.
