The Snap-In Process

This diagram shows how the vortex snap-in occurs during the Git workflow:

Penrose Staircase Prevention

The coherence check could create an infinite loop:

Low coherence

Add connectives ("therefore", "moreover")

Curl increases (circular reasoning)

Escape Hatches Added:

  1. Manual Override Labels

    • coherence-override: Developer judgment
    • emergency-merge: Critical fixes bypass
  2. Workflow Skip Logic

    • Checks for override labels first
    • Skips analysis if found
    • Logs override for audit
  3. Feedback Guidance

    • Don't just say "too low"
    • Explain WHAT to fix (curl, divergence, etc.)
    • Provide specific actions

Key Insight: The snap-in happens at the push moment, not at merge. This is when:
