Platforma Sans is a Unicode font family derived from Open Sans and prepared for Raskovnik, a digital platform for Serbian lexicography and historical language resources.
It was created in 2016 as an extension of Open Sans for dictionary text that mixes modern Serbian Cyrillic and Latin scripts, historical Cyrillic material, etymological notation (including Greek), and dense combining-diacritic typography.
In the meantime, Open Sans itself has expanded substantially, including the Cyrillic ranges that Platforma Sans originally supplemented and broader script coverage such as Hebrew; but Platforma Sans remains the Raskovnik release font because it has what the project needs, keeps the package focused, and has been tested against Raskovnik data, proofs, metrics, and combining-mark behavior.
Current release: Version 1.004.
