`[julia X]` runs the back-end tests on another Julia version, e.g. `[julia nightly]` to check a change against the next release, and `[test_args ...]` passes a test selection to the back-ends' `Pkg.test`, to only run the tests a change can affect. launch.shand interpolated intodownstream.yml:[julia X]runs the back-end tests on another Julia version (default: the latest release), e.g.[julia nightly]to check a change against the upcoming release, or[julia 1.10].[test_args ...]passes a test selection to the back-ends'Pkg.test(they all use ParallelTestRunner), e.g.[test_args core/codegen gpuarrays/broadcasting], to only run the tests a change can affect.These combine with the existing selection, e.g.
[only metal] [julia nightly] [test_args execution]. The TEMP commit uses exactly that, as a test of the mechanism, and will be dropped.
