The Seventeen Engineering

The engineering arm of The Seventeen. We build tools that make living and building easier.

Philosophy

  • Clarity over cleverness. Easy to read beats fast to write.
  • Dependencies are liability. Add them only when necessary.
  • Scarcity is a feature. Constraints breed better solutions than abundance.

Systems

  • AgentSecrets: Zero-knowledge credentials infrastructure for AI systems. Agents operate credentials without ever seeing the values.

  • keychain-auth: OS keychain security hardening. Closes the gap the OS leaves open — any process running as you can read your keychain. keychain-auth enforces PID, binary hash and developer signing verification before any credential is accessed.

  • Lore: Self-hosted, collaborative memory and artifact vault for AI agents and humans. Features scoped sandboxing, automatic version diff reviews, wiki note-linking, and a native Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.
