## September 2, 2026: Payments Technical Council (Payments TC) Formed

The nomination process for the Payments Technical Council (Payments TC) has officially closed. We are excited to welcome inaugural members Adyen NV, Ant International, Coinbase, Global Payments, Google, PayPal, Shopify, and Stripe to the Payments TC.

## August 25, 2026: Protocol Release v2026-08-25

We have released version v2026-08-25 of the protocol.
