[BUG] Search Button Vanishes When Multiple Hits

Describe the bug

If you have too much hits in the search (multiple accounts on the same domain or lots of subdomains) there is no search button anymore:

It's hard to show on the screenshot but if you scroll all the way to the left, i) not all hits are shown and ii) there's no search button.

Usually listed are: First the hits and then as the rightmost, "Search entry".

Interestingly I have indeed 8 passwords for this server spanning over multiple sub-domains but just five are shown on the domain I tried.

It seems to depend on the IME which might be subject to modification by the phone and/or OS manufacturer. Android docs recommend no more than five inline suggestions. I briefly tried with Bitwarden and it also inserts at most five inline suggestions. Though, if the BW is configured to display suggestions as popup (available on Android 13+) this limit is lifted.

Then search is gone. That's what I tried to explain above. Do you know how to switch to pop-ups in the meantime?

I hope I'm not utterly stupid on this one, but do you have an idea why it refuses to update?

Sorry, this is because you have currently the F-Droid release installed, which is signed by F-Droid. The GitHub releases are signed by me, so they cannot be installed over an F-Droid one. You need to first uninstall the F-Droid version, or just wait for the new regular release that I will publish soon.

However, I would appreciate it if you could test the snapshot to determine whether a hard-coded limit might need to be put.

Yeah, I can absolutely do that. Is there a method to export all my settings incl. server settings or something else so that I don't have to reconfigure the app from the scratch two times?

Now I only get "Search entry" without any further suggestions. But that's already totally sufficient for me. :)

You need to populate the suggestions strip again with quick select buttons via "Search entry". Would you please try this, and tell me whether you get the scrolling suggestions box overlay when you add more than a certain number of buttons?

You can get more search results to choose from if you clear the search string in the input field on the "Search entry" UI.

Btw, the missing "Create entry" button is a bug that has been fixed meanwhile (fixed in the snapshot).

Yes! Adding suggestions via the "Search entry" button works. First the suggestions accumulate in the horizontal suggestions strip on the upper end of the keyboard. At some point (I did not pay attention to the number), the strip disappears and instead a new box pops up:
