giti is source-available under the Functional Source License v1.1 (FSL-1.1-MIT). In short:
- ✅ Use it, self-host it, modify it, read the source — for any purpose that isn't a Competing Use (offering a commercial product/service that substitutes for giti).
- ⏳ Two years after each version's release, that version automatically becomes available under the permissive MIT license.
