I am a postdoc in the neurobiology department at Harvard Medical School, working with Bob Datta. I study how neural dynamics give rise to naturalistic behavior, and how that behavior is structured over time.
Much of that work involves state-space modeling of animal behavior: keypoint-MoSeq parses pose-tracking data into recurring sub-second motifs, state-MoSeq identifies the longer behavioral states those motifs compose into, and jax-MoSeq provides GPU-accelerated inference code to power these methods.
I also build tools for visually exploring complex datasets. SNUB is a browser for neural recordings, behavioral annotations, and video on a shared timeline, and SPRING visualizes single-cell gene expression as force-directed graphs.
