exanic X25 and Intel Core Ultra 9 285K

Has anyone had a good experience in such a combination? From time to time, our server is not able to send/receive packets. From an OS perspective, I can see the card and can ping local IP, but all remote IPs are unavailable. Nothing in dmesg / messages /etc /etc... I have a feeling it's something related to Exa FW rather than NIC driver

• Usage: run application with exasock, using C API directly or just kernel network stack only

Hi, we are using RHEL 9.x/Rocky 9.x with 2.7.6 drivers and 20230621 or 20220210 FW
I can't show right now, but ip link, ip address , etc shows no anomalitirs, link is up. routes are there (actually we are using the same subnet, so it's L2 domain)

none of them are working, neither exasock, neither kernel stack....

for example when that is happening we see no PTP data coming to the ptp4l stack, but running tcpdump we can see that data is coming.

also what is helping ip link down/up

that's all what I have right now. and this is definitely on that CPU only.

yes, correct, I can see the card in OS, I can see it via exanic-config, I can ping local IP of the card, but all incoming/outgoing connections doesn't work. no firewall/iptables/nfstables here.

Unfortunately I can't provide live output as we need this server in prod and replaces it back to i14900ks, but from what I heard many people complain on X25 + Intel Core Ultra 9 285K

• Can setup Core Ultra 9 285K machine in test environment, just receiving any data all the time to reproduce issues?

I have a fleet of 14900ks - no problems at all with X25
In my environment was just one machine at all (as we are testing this CPU), but I heard that other guys also had such a problem
not easy at the moment, but will try to arrange

local IP ping is handled by kernel without going through network interface. Does remote IP can receive ping request ICMP packages?

none of them are working, neither exasock, neither kernel stack....

what about using libexanic C api directly?

Good question about remote end - didn't test
From what I saw tcpdump ptp messages, but ptp4l stack didn't receive it

also the situation happens 1-2 times per day
