Logo PyTime (Deprecated)

⚠️ DEPRECATION NOTICE ⚠️

PyTime is no longer actively maintained. It has been completely surpassed by my new open-source project, CRT.

CRT is a modern speedrun retiming tool built from the ground up with Python and PySide6. It features improved performance, a better UI, and active development.

Please transition to using CRT for all future speedrun retiming!

About PyTime

PyTime was a speedrun retime tool made to replace SPRT with loads and more! GUI

Overview

  • Perfect Accuracy
  • Easy to Use GUI
  • Debug Info
  • Loads

Tutorial

(Make sure your video resolution is set at the highest setting.)

  1. Find and input the framerate Right click the YouTube video player and click "Stats for nerds." At "Current / Optimal Res" where a resolution is visible, the resolution will be followed by @XX. The XX is the video's framerate; input that into the input box called "FPS."

  2. Input the Start and the End First, find the first frame of the run. You can do this by using the , and . keys to advance 1 frame at a time. Once located, right click and press Copy debug info, then click the "Paste" button next to "Debug info Start." Next, find the last frame of the run, copy the debug info, and paste it into "Debug info End."

  3. Inputting the loads Find the first frame of the load, copy the debug info, and paste it next to "Debug info Start (Loads)". Repeat for the last frame of the load in the "Debug info End (Loads)" box. If you mess up, you can remove all loads by clicking "Remove all Loads".

  4. Calculating the Final Time Click Calculate. It will calculate the time with and without loads. Confirm whether you would like to Copy the Mod Message to paste directly into speedrun.com.

Installation

  1. Click Releases to view available legacy binaries.
  2. Download the desired binary (e.g., v1.0.3 Pytime Installer.exe).
  3. Run the installer.
