Summary

  • Add a root MIT LICENSE (Copyright 2026 ABK Labs, Inc.)
  • Remove per-starter license fields from all starter/*/package.json files
  • Update the root README so new examples inherit the repo license instead of setting their own

Test plan

  • Confirm GitHub shows the repo as MIT
  • Spot-check that no starter package.json still declares license

Drop per-starter license fields so the root LICENSE is the single
source of truth.

code-review

Adds a root MIT LICENSE (ABK Labs, Inc.) and removes per-starter license fields so the repo license is the single source of truth. README guidance matches.

Checks

  • git log origin/main..HEAD: one commit, subject/body ≤72
  • git diff origin/main...HEAD --stat: LICENSE + README + nine starter package.json only; no binaries
  • Diff is mechanical license-field deletion; MIT text is the standard form

Looks good to merge. (GitHub blocks self-approve on this PR.)

For code people are possibly integrating into their own projects, I think MIT is fine.
