Curtis Martin

Software engineer in Sydney. Finishing a Master of IT at UNE (7.0 GPA), graduating late 2026.

Since 2021 I've co-run Care Culture, an NDIS provider, and built the software it operates on: onboarding and compliance automation, booking management, and invoicing tools on Google Apps Script.

Mostly working in Python, TypeScript, and Java. FastAPI, SvelteKit, React, PostgreSQL, Docker. I also run a small homelab: OpenMediaVault, a stack of Docker services, Nginx Proxy Manager, Tailscale.

Projects

  • badminton_stroke_classification — UNE capstone, 7-person team. Classifies badminton strokes from match video. I built most of the frontend, backend, and deployment.
  • Daily Ascent — bodyweight training app for iPhone and Apple Watch, live on the App Store. Injury-aware scheduling and a paired watch app. My first native project.
  • svelte-a11y-panel — accessibility panel for Svelte 5, built for Care Culture's site and extracted into an npm package. Contrast modes, dyslexia fonts, text-to-speech. MIT.
  • clmartin.dev — personal site. SvelteKit, TypeScript, Vitest.
  • invoice-to-csv — builds Xero-ready invoice CSVs from Google Sheets. Has run Care Culture's invoicing since 2021. MIT.
