# Alpha Labs

How to install and licence **De-Feedback** on your **transform**.engine!

## Installation

You must run De-Feedback v1.1.4 or above on **transform**.engine. An older build will have incorrect DSP performance.

**Plugin Format**: Windows VST3

**Installer File Format:** `.exe`

1. Follow the [Accessing Windows steps](../installation.md#accessing-the-plugin-host-to-install-plugins)
2. On your personal device, download the De-Feedback v1.1.4 or above Windows installer. It should be in a `.exe` file format.
3. Copy this installer file to a USB stick.
4. Plug it into any of the USB ports on the **transform**.engine.
6. Locate your USB stick in the window and find your De-Feedback installer file.
7. Run the Application.
8. Follow the installer prompts to install De-Feedback.
9. Exit the plugin host and rescan plugins.

## Licensing

1. Plug a USB stick into the **transform**.engine, then open De-Feedback in Test Run mode:

`Library -> Add/Remove Plugins -> Select De-Feedback -> Test Run`

2. In the plugin, open the Licence Management screen:

`Show Menu -> Licence Management`

3. Enter your licence ID and password.

4. Click the **Activate** button three times. A popup will ask you to save a request file. Save it to the USB stick, then eject the drive.

5. On an internet-connected device, go to [http://tinyurl.com/manage-offline](http://tinyurl.com/manage-offline) and upload the request file from the USB stick.

6. The website will provide a response file. Save it to the USB stick, then plug the USB stick back into the **transform**.engine.

7. The plugin will show a popup asking for the response file. Select the response file from the USB stick. De-Feedback should now be fully licensed.

## De-licensing

Before resetting the plugin host, you must remove the De-Feedback licence using the steps below. If you reset the plugin host without deactivating the licence first, you will lose that licence.

1. Plug a USB stick into the **transform**.engine, then open De-Feedback in Test Run mode:

`Library -> Add/Remove Plugins -> Select De-Feedback -> Test Run`

2. In the plugin, open the Licence Management screen:

`Show Menu -> Licence Management`

3. Click **Deactivate** twice within one second and follow the prompts.

4. Save the generated request file to the USB stick, then eject the drive.

5. On an internet-connected device, go to [http://tinyurl.com/manage-offline](http://tinyurl.com/manage-offline), upload the request file, and complete the deactivation process.
