Random activation of audio alerts

Sadly I don't have any logs to back this up as I'm scared to turn it back on, however someone may know why, or have exerpienced this themselves.

Since setting this up on my HA, on three seperate occations, all or some of my trackers alarms/audio alerts were activated randomly.

No history of Play sound being pressed or anything unusual.

When trying to stop, the "stop sound" sensor became unavailable, but it does stop after a few minutes.

I'd like to use this but my SO can't really be at work and her keys ring with no way to stop it. (I have realised since you can press the button, but not when it first occured)

I have also had a few times where the tracker I attached to my keys started ringing while I was out, which was troublesome.
I am not sure if it is related to how this project works, though...

Hello, I'm experiencing the same issue with UGREEN Finder Pro trackers.

I initially tested the "Play Sound" action once from HA, and since then my trackers randomly ring every few hours with no automation or manual trigger involved. I tried removing and reinstalling the integration entirely, but the random ringing persisted even after reinstallation.

The only way I found to temporarily stop it is to press the physical button on the tracker itself.

My setup: Google Find My Device integration v1.7.7, trackers are UGREEN Finder Pro (non-removable battery), no automations involved - purely location tracking use case.

Has anyone experienced this and found a workaround?

Note: I'm not sure this is the right place to report this issue : It may be more relevant to the GoogleFindMy-HA repository since it seems to be an integration-level bug rather than an authentication tool issue.

It looks like that is the culprit. I have 2 x pebblebee trackers which are fine, the random ringing only occurs on UGREEN Finder pro trackers.

@hiwok I've raised an issue on the main repo, if you're able to provide any relevant logs that would be great.

That's not a bug, that's a security feature by Apple and Google. This has nothing to do with GoogleFindMyTools or GoggleFindMy-HA.
