Big games get stuck while verifying. An internet connection error occurs during verification, the progress resets.

I also had the same issue, it isnt just while verifying or updating, its there while downloading too. And the problem is the Louie repository. To solve it, carefully do the following steps:
-Open the Lua tools app (you specifically need the app, not the powershell plugin)
-Go to the settings
-Disable Fastfetch
-While till in the app, search the game you wish to "buy" and add it to your library, and, be sure to use the Ryuu one specifically, not the Louie one by mistake
-Restart Steam (for good measures)
-Download ur game.
-Enjoy
