If you hammer the tab-split button, many new tabs open

The new tabs will not be well-grouped, and generally they act very oddly. For instance:

I suspect the weirdness is because some tabs belong to one group as the left side, while simultaneously being part of another group as the right side.

This bug existed in the bootstrap version.
