# 2026 July 27 Virtual MEI Board Meeting

Present: Anna Kijas, Anna Plaksin, Benni Bohl, David Weigl, Laurent Pugin

Excused: Jessica Grimmer, Martha Thomae Elias, Kristina Richts-Matthei, Maristella Feustle, Stefan Münnich

## Agenda

- Discussion
- Investigating a new communication platform
- Benni created a draft communication requirements document for the board to review
- We have set up a test instance in Zulip for the board to test out functionality based on identified needs
- Another possibility that we are exploring is Rocket.chat which NFDI4Culture offered to host for the MEI community

- Calendaring
- Fall meetings will be scheduled soon and dates will be posted online
