The CLI's USD cost display and `--max-cost` use observed token usage and model
pricing to estimate API-equivalent model cost. With ChatGPT authentication,
that estimate is not a measurement of your ChatGPT plan allowance, does not
show the remaining allowance, and `--max-cost` does not cap plan allowance.
The estimate updates only when new usage data is observed, so an active model
request may not yet be reflected in the displayed amount.
