Document the models that still exist - #5
Merged
Conversation
The README and provider docs offered deepseek-chat as the default and deepseek-reasoner alongside it. Both were discontinued on 24 July 2026 and requests using them fail, so the documented quickstart could not work. The V4 family replaces the old chat and reasoner split: both models think, and how hard is controlled with the neutral effort option.

The README and
docs/provider.mdoffereddeepseek-chatas the documented default withdeepseek-reasoneralongside it. Both were discontinued on 24 July 2026 and requests using them fail, so the documented quickstart could not work at all.Now documents
MODEL_DEEPSEEK_V4_FLASHandMODEL_DEEPSEEK_V4_PRO, which is what the provider already defaults to in code. The V4 family replaces the old chat/reasoner split: both models think, and how hard is controlled with the neutraleffortoption, so the two-model framing in the old docs no longer describes the product.Docs only, so no tag is needed.
