Requires papi-core ^0.15. Maps the neutral effort option onto reasoning_effort. The accepted levels vary by model and the API rejects an unknown one outright rather than ignoring it, so the level is narrowed against what the target model actually takes: max arrived with 5.6, xhigh with the 5.1 codex generation, minimal exists only on the original GPT-5, and everything older takes the three middle levels.
