For anyone still looking for Raspberry Pi 4B support: the community fork at https://github.com/sfo2001/platform-linux_arm includes board definitions for Raspberry Pi 4B, 400, 5, CM4, Zero 2W, and other models, with cross-compilation support for Linux, macOS, and Windows.

Install with:

pio pkg install -g -p https://github.com/sfo2001/platform-linux_arm.git
