macOS has a different sed that has a different syntax for inplace sed. Using a temporary file will always work.
…e Makefile Allow using system-installed verilator and bender instead of locally-built binaries via system_verilator=1 and system_bender=1 flags. Add OS detection to conditionally set Homebrew libelf paths on macOS. Document the new flags and macOS prerequisites in README. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.6 <noreply@anthropic.com>
