version 1.8.0

for reference i did update the 8 development id per 8 google account and i tested them 1 by 1 to insure that all of them with new changes from 1.8.0 and also new development are working well and also i did update docker container from prebuild image v 1.8.0 and also i did update the mhrv-rst windows and android version so everything as my point of view is working will BUT :

the AUTH_KEY and TUNNEL_AUTH_KEY Has no deference between my old fullcode.gs and new one so if new deployment did not run and old one was present there isn't the problem if log leveler fix comes out i can see which gas deployment is the case so we can see what is the issue tnx a lot

#391 seems other have this issue maybe the cause is related to active probing html decoy or dpi fingerprinting bypass is the case please check those first

it says auth key has issue's BUT i did test that deployment that has auth issue it connect to internet ! when i'm using it i can browse internet without issue i assume it's a bug that pretend to be auth issue for further investigation i did use "disable_padding": true in cli version but i get the same error (even almost on every deployment and i try to redeploy again and this problem is present ! )
i'm pretty sure the problem is not auth key or deployment id but it is the source itself ! but where is the issue exactly i can't fully address it maybe a full diagnose is crucial

I owe you a corrected v1.8.1 message. The decoy body string "The script completed but did not return anything" isn't unique to our v1.8.0 bad-auth path — Apps Script's stock behavior also returns that exact body when:

1. Script execution timed out mid-execution (Apps Script's per-invocation 6-min cap, or 30s soft cap on Web App responses)
2. Quota tear: deployment hit per-100s or per-minute soft quota mid-call → execution truncated → Apps Script serves the placeholder

For your immediate debugging, the DIAGNOSTIC_MODE = true flip still works to distinguish: AUTH_KEY mismatch returns explicit JSON {"e":"unauthorized"}, scenarios 2-4 return either real JSON or different errors (not the placeholder HTML). If you flip DIAGNOSTIC_MODE in your CodeFull.gs and still see the same ERROR pattern, you've ruled out AUTH_KEY → it's actually one of the runtime/concurrency causes.

that is my de hetzner node with docker prebuild container that mhrvs-rs provide + nginx for ssl tls termination and also dns moderate via Cloudflare with proxy off on dns !

i guess this comes from gas itself google maybe my language because of origin req comes from iran or my gas acc located as iran the gas response comes in Persian and others have this issue but they don't turn on the diagnose mode on gas so they can't confirm i said it is hetzner not any Iranian provider , Nuremberg hetzner datacenter with good resource and bandwidth
so we must detect the max burst and max bandwidth limit by google or maybe an auto mode that can guess the max burst and max bandwidth that google well be ok with would be a good fix for that , bursting and bandwidth (packet size ) + mtu + speed limit per deployment id per min/sec must be optimizing

@w0l4i — apologies again for the location guess. Hetzner Nuremberg + good resources rules out provider-side throttling. So if the Persian quota body is not from your VPS provider, it has to be coming from somewhere else in the chain. Your hypothesis is the right one:

This matches Apps Script behavior I should have considered earlier. Apps Script localizes its system error pages based on:

1. The Google account's locale setting (the account that owns the deployment) — if the account is set to fa-IR or your interface language is Persian, Apps Script error pages render in Persian regardless of where the request originates
2. The request's apparent geographic origin — Apps Script has CDN-level locale detection that picks up Iran/Persian-speaking IP ranges and returns localized error pages

For your case (Hetzner DE → Apps Script): the request hits Apps Script through some Google edge, and Apps Script's Persian-localized quota response fires when the deployment hits its per-100s soft quota or per-account aggregate bandwidth cap. The body string is Apps Script's own "Soft quota tear" placeholder, just rendered in Persian — not from any third party, not from any VPS provider, just Apps Script's own bandwidth management.

Why others get this in English (or as a JSON error) and you get it in Persian:

• Account locale matters more than IP — if other users have English-locale Google accounts, they'd see the same condition return English placeholder text
• DIAGNOSTIC_MODE flip in Code.gs is what disambiguates: with DIAGNOSTIC_MODE=true, our intentional decoy is replaced with explicit JSON. If you flipped it on Code.gs and still see the same Persian body, that confirms it's NOT our v1.8.0 bad-auth decoy — it's Apps Script's own quota response

v1.8.3 detection plan refined:

For #5: detect by string-matching on common Persian quota phrases like سهمیه, پهنای باند, مقدار انتقال even when the surrounding HTML structure differs from the v1.8.0 decoy. v1.8.3 will expand the body-string detection to a list of patterns including the Persian variants.

• Per-deployment auto-throttle (v1.8.x): track success/quota-error rate per script_id, dynamically lower parallel_concurrency for deployments hitting quota too often. AIMD-style additive-increase-multiplicative-decrease so the system finds the sustainable rate per deployment without manual tuning.
• Per-deployment burst limit (v1.8.x): supplemental cap on requests-per-second per script_id, separate from parallel_concurrency. Prevents burst-into-quota during page load events.
• MTU/packet-size optimization (v1.8.x): currently we send the full request through UrlFetchApp.fetch() which is one batch per HTTP call. Smaller batches = more HTTP calls = more upstream burst, but each call is below quota threshold. Bigger batches = fewer calls but each one closer to per-call timeout cap. Auto-tune batch size based on quota-error feedback.
• xmux (v1.9.0): your headline. Cross-deployment byte-range slipstreaming.

Will tag you on the v1.9.0 design issue when it's drafted (~1-2 weeks).

Update for the keep-it-open concern: since this issue (#404) has spawned multiple architecture-relevant findings (script_id in logs, decoy detection, quota body localization, per-deployment quota tracking), I'll keep it open as the canonical reference issue for the v1.8.3 + v1.8.x quota-handling work.
