When putting an item into the Clay Kiln that has no valid recipe for it and waiting until it has been 'smelting' you get XP for taking it out of the furnace as if you'd burned something.
Issue noticed in FTB Interactions (Modpack v. 1.3.0), Primal Tech Version 0.3.4. Tested first with clay block, then with various tools (pickaxe, axe, etc.).
